What machine do you use?
We have tried several options in the market and we are currently using Bambu printers. We believe that they offer the widest range of material options and deposition rate needed for the RC industry.
What materials do you use?
There are undoubtedly many materials used when it comes to 3D printing, but not all of them are suitable for RC or sporting parts. We do not exclusively use 1 material type for all products, as the application and the needs differ based on function, strength, UV resistance, etc.
We primarily use Polylactic Acid (PLA) or Polyethylene terephthalate glycol (PETG) filament. PLA is a recyclable, natural thermoplastic polyester that is derived from renewable resources such as corn starch or sugar cane. The filament is biodegradable under certain conditions with high heat capacity and high mechanical strength. PETG is a thermoplastic polyester filament that is a durable, chemically resistant, and easy-to-use material with good light diffusion and layer adhesion. It's often described as the "best of both worlds" because it has the rigidity of ABS but is easy to print like PLA.
We are currently exploring the application of TPU (Thermoplastic polyurethane). TPU is a type of flexible and elastic 3D printing filament. It is suitable for uses requiring impact-absorption and a soft-touch surface. Examples of TPU 3D printed parts include tubes, seals, bushings and vibration dampeners.

Do you do custom parts?
The short answer is maybe! If you have an idea that you want to share, please contact us and we can evaluate the feasibility and the ideal path forward. We are here to help, so if there is a way to get you what you need, we will certainly try.
Do you offer other color options?
At this time, we are only offering Black or White in order to test the market on the most popular items and lower inventory. If you are interested in a custom color, feel free to reach out. If the number of parts makes sense, we will certainly consider it.
Do you offer personalized lettering?
We are offering personalized lettering on the parts that are both large enough and where the lettering won't affect the primary functionality of the part. If you do not see the option and would like to discuss, please contact us.
Warranty?
At Z3D we guarantee that all parts shipped will fit accurately for the application selected. We stand 100% behind our products, and will provide a replacement part if it arrives damaged or for some reason it does not fit.
Given the nature of our sport, we will not offer a replacement once used. In the case the part fails unexpectedly within 30 days of purchase, please contact us.

Do you take CC?
At this point we are only accepting PayPal. As the company grows, we will explore other options.
Is there a local pickup option?
Yes! If you are around the DMV area, we will certainly try to accomodate local pickup.
Domestic and International Shipping
All Domestic orders over $100 will include free shipping automaticall upon checkout.
International shipping will be calculated separately and be sure to include your preferred contact information and we will contact you directly to determine the optimal shipping method.
